In real estate, it’s all about “Location, Location, Location,” The same is said of exceptional car shows and cruise-ins.
The location of the event, the available useable green space, an abundance of shade trees, and the intimacy of the parking, makes a real difference. Take, for example, the recent cruise-in sponsored by Monster Customs in Marietta, GA.
The event was held at the front door of Monster Custom’s new 11,000-foot store in the beautifully landscaped Avenue West Cobb open-air lifestyle shopping center.
Located 15 miles northwest of Atlanta and south of the picturesque North Georgia Mountains, it provided a beautiful backdrop for an intimate, yet socially responsible event.
This pedestrian-friendly setting encourages car-lovers to stroll, relax outside, and stay awhile. All of which made for one of the best cruise-in locations we’ve visited this year.
Classic Glass – Still Going Strong
The Marietta area has been the backyard of the Classic Glass Corvette Club since Carl Etter started the club in 1983. Still going strong after 37 years, we knew this 250-member group would have a presence here. Of course, they didn’t disappoint.
It only took a few minutes of talking to Ken, a past president of CG, to realize why this dynamic club has survived almost four decades and is growing in membership today. Every notable car gathering in Atlanta seems to have a Classic Glass presence.
Monster Custom – Imagination Brought To Life
Owners Terry Dobbs and Jim Florek have recently opened a beautiful, client-centric location in Marietta. They’ve been in the custom-auto game for more than 20 years and it shows in every detail.
They offer the right selection of products and back them up with an array of tailor-made services for today’s custom car enthusiast. This experience is not a big box, one-size-fits-all store approach.
Monster Custom is the professional bespoke installer you’ve been looking for to bring your imagination to life.
A Great Start
This event was Monster Custom’s second cruise-in at this location, and by all indicators, it was a resounding success. The Avenue of West Cobb is easy to access, yet thoughtfully landscaped to be secluded and intimate.
Mark our words here, the brilliant early morning start time, combined with the venue, make this a rare gem of a cruise-in, especially for Corvettes. This venue could quickly evolve into one of the top monthly cruise-ins in Atlanta.
The venue is perfectly laid out to attract sponsors and hundreds of show-stopping vehicles. As we always say about exceptional car events, it’s all about “Location, Location, Location.”
