Some People Collect Art, We Race It
The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) is the largest and one of the oldest Vintage racing organizations in the United States today. The origins of SVRA go all the way back to 1978 and the 12 Hours of Sebring.
In those early days, the initial membership was about 25 drivers and supporters. Today this premier vintage racing organization has grown to over 2,500 licensed competitors.
With SVRA you can look forward to exciting race weekends on legendary tracks throughout the country. These family-friendly events are safe, fair, and above all, fun.
The phrase you often hear when talking about SVRA events is, “Some people collect art, we race it.” Indeed that’s the case, as you’ll see classic Jaguars, Triumphs, BMWs, MGs, and Lotuses as well as contemporary Camaros, Audis, Porsches, and Corvettes compete.
The organization is guided by a philosophy that encourages the restoration, preservation, and racing of historically significant automobiles that are configured as closely as possible to their original design and construction.
