Caffeine & Octane Car Event – August 2020

C&O August 2020 event banner

Caffeine & Octane braved Atlanta’s unrelenting August sun to put on North America’s largest car show once again. Their efforts were rewarded with thousands of car lovers in attendance and packed parking lots at the Perimeter Mall.

If you’ve never attended, Caffeine & Octane is a love fest for exceptional, unusual, exotic, and sometimes, just plain crazy vehicles. Even more colorful than cars are the people who drive them.

You only have to watch the Caffeine & Octane TV show on NBC Sports to see it played out. August was no exception. Film crews were busily scurrying about trying to capture this gearhead ethos on video.

Vengeance Racing Draws A Crowd

It wasn’t hard to find Ron Mowen, the owner of Vengeance Racing. We just followed the crowd of people.

Everyone wanted to see how Vengeance Racing installed a pair of fast-spinning twin turbos into their new 2020 Corvette C8 test vehicle.

We waited patiently in a socially-distanced line and weren’t disappointed by the innovative setup and professional application.

We pressed Ron hard for some dyno numbers. The most he would say with a tight, all-knowing smile on his face is, “Rod, the numbers are strong, but it’s a work in progress.”

We left with the distinct impression that the numbers will be jaw-dropping once the Vengeance team has worked their magic.

These guys have known for years how to extract eye-watering power from GM engines. Their shop walls in Cummings, Ga, are covered with victory trophies, and world records, for good reason.

Corvette Elite Car Club Represents

Corvette Elite Car Club had a significant showing at this month’s event. As Atlanta’s only all-C7 Corvette club, they brought strength in numbers with a dozen or so beautiful Vettes.

Taking a glance down their row showed an impressive lineup of seventh-generation Vettes. Judging by the number of Z06’s they had on display, this club relishes power and speed.

Classic Glass Club

Classic Glass Corvette Club is a significant force at every Caffeine & Octane, and this one was no exception. Their club hospitality tent was up and always busy with people inquiring about the club.

Their lineup of Vettes they bring always draws eager photographers and faithful admirers alike. Hard to imagine this event without the largest Corvette club in Georgia representing our fiberglass creation.

C&O Is Always Different

The overwhelming draw of Caffeine & Octane is that the mix of vehicles is different every time. No two shows are the same, both in cars and energy.

Some shows see more exotics in the parking lot, while others more custom rods. Either way, it’s the largest car show in North America and a blast every time!
