If you attend the same car show every month, you would think you would see the same people over and over. Yes, Caffeine & Octane does have a core of devoted followers that attend rain or shine every month.
What is impressive to us, though, is the number of Corvette owners that we run into each month that have never been to the event before. Some of the most energetic Vette owners we’ve met at C&O aren’t parked in the prominent lower parking lots.
They’re interspersed among the other cars in the upper and side lots. One of these months, we’re going to devote an entire C&O monthly article to these fun-loving fiberglass fanatics.
For Every Corvette, There’s A Story
We often say everyone has a story to tell; you just have to be patient and listen. There is always a great story lurking just under the surface, waiting to come out when it comes to Corvette owners.
Sometimes its the story of the Vette they passed up in their youth that they finally tracked down years later. For others, it’s finding a vintage Corvette under a heavy canvas tarp in an old barn.
Speaking of barn finds, we’ve got a couple of stories coming your way in the next few months that are downright amazing. They’ll have you jumping off the couch to spend all of your free time scouring the local barns.
South East Wheels Events
Part of what makes Caffeine & Octane special is the variety of vendors that it attracts. One of the regulars every month is the familiar tent of South East Wheels Events.
This month Mike Thies was handling the tent and passing out timely information. As you know, South East Wheels Events is one of the leading online auto, bike, and truck show events calendar in the Southeastern U.S.
They’re an excellent resource for tracking down local car shows and events. Sitting in with Mike was Aaron Spaulding, Advisory Board Member from Concours d’Elegance.
Concours d’Elegance of Atlanta
As a car enthusiast, you probably know Aaron Spaulding from his involvement with Concours d’Elegance of Atlanta. Aaron is the Advisory Board Member who curated last year’s “Cars of Iconic Black Americans,” held at Tyler Perry Studios.
The event he curated brought together vehicles owned by well recognized and distinguished individuals including BB King; Muhammad Ali; Sammy Davis, Jr.; Sam Cooke; Bojangles; and the ‘Godfather of Soul’ James Brown.
The Best Party In Town
Every month Caffeine & Octane delivers on this simple premise. If you bring enough car loving people together, you’re going to have a good time.
No trophies to fight over, no arm twisting charity fundraising, and no entrance fee. Just people who are showing off their individuality through the car they brought.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be surrounded by thousands of car lovers at one time? Wait no more, Caffeine & Octane is the best party in town.
