Sometimes you just need to kick back and chill. What better way for a car enthusiast to relax than with thousands of fellow car lovers at Caffeine & Octane?

Regardless of the weather or calendar date, C&O Sundays always fill the area behind Perimeter Mall. Devotees search out every available parking spot in the central and the two adjoining exhibition lots.

In this sea of gear-driven humanity, we found Torry and his jaw-dropping C8 just chillin and taking it all in. Some might recall seeing this popular 2021 Rapid Blue custom featured in advertisements and music videos.

Every detail of his eighth-generation convertible compliments the total aesthetic. Yes, right down to the sequential number set of custom Aerolarri wheels.

If you look closely at the center of the wheel, you can see the cover says, “Aerolarri 7 of 299.”

Classic Glass Represents

Since 1983, the Classic Glass Corvette Club of Marietta has been actively promoting the Corvette lifestyle in Atlanta. So it should come as no surprise they would have a strong contingency of members attending North America’s largest car exposition.

From their hospitality tent, they’re always available to answer questions and provide advice. This is especially true if you have a question about the National Corvette Museum.

They make at least four trips a year to the NCM to participate in the Michelin BASH, Anniversary Celebration, Vets ‘n Vettes, and Museum work weekends. With over 280 members, they remain active with Corvette activities throughout the year.

Aaron Spaulding – Chairman of Georgia Concourse d’ Elegance

Georgia’s Concours d’Elegance

We had a chance to stop by and talk with Aaron Spaulding, the Chairman of the newly created Georgia’s Concours d’Elegance. Aaron was excited about moving forward to build upon the Atlanta community’s enthusiasm for motoring events.

Georgia’s Concours d’ Elegance has plans for a completely new showcase during the 2022 Concours season. Vehicles to be displayed and judged will range from European and domestic models dating as far back as the late 1800s to modern-day luxury and exotics.

There will also be several niche categories and classes based on trends and provenance. Aaron mentioned they have an upcoming “Sneek Peek” event on Sunday, September 19th, at the Peachtree Corners Town Green.

The event will be from 12 noon to 5 pm, coinciding with the 10th annual Peachtree Corners Festival.

Members of the volunteer Barksdale Animal rescue

BarkVille Dog Rescue

If you think Caffeine & Octane is all about horse-type power, you would be mistaken. Their heart is open to rescue dogs as well.

Once we saw all the puppies and dogs, we couldn’t walk by the BarkVille Dog Rescue tent and not stop. If you’re an animal lover, you know all too well what we mean.

Founded in 2016, BarkVille Dog Rescue is a Georgia Department of Agriculture licensed rescue and non-profit organization.

Formerly known as BarkTown Dog Rescue & Sanctuary, they are an all-volunteer, non-profit organization committed to saving dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages.  This rescue organization is a non-breed-specific rescue, and they do not exclude dogs due to extensive medical needs.

Their goal is to save dogs in the most need of rescue assistance, including older dogs, medically challenged dogs and PitBull Terrier-type dogs.

Unofficial End Of Summer

Some will say Labor Day is the “unofficial end of summer” because it marks the end of the cultural summer season.

While that holds for some parts of the United States, fortunately, Atlanta has excellent car show weather for another couple of months.

Still, we can’t think of a better way to chill at the end of summer than with a few thousand of our closest friends at Caffeine & Octane.
