In today’s world, they say you are only as good as your last performance. If that’s true, then the Classic Glass Corvette Club of Marietta, Georgia, just gave a rock star performance.
When you’ve been putting on All-Corvette shows as long as this 38-year-old club has, it gets mighty tough to top the last one. Somehow, they managed to do just that on the front lawn of Day’s Chevrolet in Acworth.
Everyone we spoke to agreed. This year’s event at Day’s Chevrolet in Acworth reached a whole new level.
Masters of Prep
As anyone who has attempted to put on a large-scale car show will tell you, preparation is the key to event day success. The Classic Glass team has mastered prep down to its subtle nuisances.
From the online signup to the parking by generations, all transpired smoothly. Since we mentioned it, parking Corvettes by generation is a brilliant idea.
From an owner’s perspective, it fosters natural conversation with others within the generation. For the independent judges, it is far easier to compare apples to apples when they are parked side by side.
Lastly, it’s just a lot of fun for the casual fan as they walk down a long row of their favorite era of Corvette history.
My American Dream (MAD) Customs
With over 250 Corvettes basking in the SuperVette Saturday sunshine, you might ask yourself, “How can my Corvette stand out?” The answer was there in person in the form of Donnie Herrin, owner of My American Dream (MAD) Customs.
Donnie and his talented design team have dominated the car show circuit with their jaw-dropping creations for several years now. It is nothing short of amazing to watch your pride and joy transform into a top-flight car show winner.
Are you looking to add a bit of individuality to your Bowling Green creation? The options and creative paths are seemingly endless when visiting his design facilities at 3180 Florence Rd Suite 304, Powder Springs, GA.
Vengeance Racing In The House
Corvette enthusiasts are horsepower obsessed by their very nature. Fortunately, a team from Vengeance Racing was on hand to show them a reliable path to proven performance gains.
Vengeance Racing (VR) has a long, well-deserved reputation for building some of the quickest and fastest GM-based streetcars in the United States. The number of world record certificates that hang in the waiting room of their Cummings, Ga shop, tend to speak for themselves.
The VR tent was a popular destination all day for those Vette enthusiasts who needed to coax a little more performance from their Bowling Green creation.
Memorable Experience
Classic Glass Corvette Club of Marietta dialed up another impressive SuperVette Saturday for the Corvette faithful. Our thanks go out to all the Classic Glass volunteers and supporters who gave up their Saturday so the rest of us could have this memorable experience.
Special thanks go out to Bob Catapano, the SuperVette Saturday Manager for taking on this daunting task for the second year in a row. Of course, we would be remiss if we didn’t thank Day’s Chevrolet for being an incredible supporter of Corvette owners for several decades.
They say you can’t step up to the next level as long as you keep one foot on the lower level.
Clearly, Classic Glass has found a way to take the next step up with SuperVette Saturday and take this Corvette experience to a whole new level.
