The Crabapple Market in Milton, Ga. knows how to put on a car show. Since their inception last year, they have continually evolved and sharpened their offering.

They’ve reached a point where they consistently draw one of the finest assortments of show-quality cars in Atlanta. What’s remarkable is they continue to make subtle changes each month to make the experience even better.

Of course, by design, the venue itself is a natural setting for community gatherings and car enthusiasts. Sun-blocking shade trees surround the inviting green space and amphitheater-style stage.

Newly constructed mid-rise buildings with historical design features flank the central green space. All of this plus, the award-winning Olde Blind Dog Irish Pub, makes this a car lovers car show that is tough to beat.

68 Years of Design Evolution

Want to get discussions started at a car show? Take a stunning 1953 Polo White roadster and park it near a new 2021 Arctic White coupe.

Seeing 68 years of Corvette design evolution will get you talking to total strangers in less than a minute. But, there’s something about seeing them both in the same body color that forces you to start comparing and contrasting.

In the end, there is no clear winner, but passionate opinions abound.

At one point during the show, we came close to having a representative of every Corvette generation. Even for the casual enthusiast, it was a treat not soon forgotten.

Incredibly, the early generations were like magnets that attracted adults and especially children to cluster around them. In some cases, the wait to slip into a discussion with a vintage Vette owner was 5 to 10 minutes.

Show Marshals Make A Difference

Ever go to a car show and have to search for someone to answer your basic event-related questions? Crabapple Market has solved that problem by using show marshals.

Sporting dayglow green t-shirts, the show marshals were stationed around the venue to answer your questions. You see this concept at club-sponsored events, but seldom to this extent or level of effectiveness.

They make a world of difference, as do the knowledgeable show judges the event uses. We were fortunate to spend some time talking to Zann, who was one of a handful of judges in attendance.

It didn’t take long before Zann impressed us with not only her diverse knowledge of cars but her uncanny eye for detail. To top it off, she genuinely enjoyed talking to car owners.

Color us impressed for sure.
