It’s one thing to be a part of a local community. It’s quite another to step up and actively support it.
So when it fell on Steve Flanagan’s heart to help those less fortunate, a car show seemed the perfect solution. The owner of Glass Tiger auto aesthetics began by making countless phone calls and inquiries.
Next up was organizing vendors, lining up food trucks, and promoting wherever he could.
As anyone who has put on a car show will tell you, getting a monthly car event off the ground is a tremendously challenging, often thankless undertaking.
To Steve’s credit, the inaugural Cars & Faith car show was a resounding success on January 8th, 2022, at the Woodstock Baptist Church. Almost 300 cars braved the chilly weather for the event held in the spacious Church parking area at 11905 Hwy 92, Woodstock, GA.
The fruit of Steve’s labor was a successful show that delivered nearly $5,000.00 in donations!
February’s event brought abundant sunshine and more unseasonably cold weather with it. It also brought out a large crowd of hearty car enthusiasts, which made it worthwhile.
Glass Tiger Steps Up
The Glass Tiger auto aesthetics business is no stranger to the Atlanta car culture. They’ve been serving local car enthusiasts for more than 25 years and have the awards to prove it.
They’ve been voted Best of Gwinnett for five straight years in the Automotive Customizing Category!
Their three metro locations in Lilburn, Lawrenceville, and Woodstock provide a full suite of services to make your vehicle look its best.
Their expertise runs the gamut from tint to graphics, paint protection, and ceramic coatings. They also provide residential and commercial window film services.
If you’re considering paint protection, the professionals at Glass Tiger only use Gtechniq professional-grade ceramic products.
Gtechniq is considered by many in the automotive industry to be a leader in ceramic coating technology.
In the end, Glass Tiger provides the expertise and services you’ve been looking for in Atlanta.
Kartel Events Brings Energy
Launching a new monthly car show is not for the faint of heart. Fortunately, they reached out to Jarrett Kirby, the founder of Kartel events, to help promote the show.
The next generation in Atlanta car show promotion is being ushered in by Jarrett and the Kartel team. They have been successful in hybrid and variety event planning in the Atlanta area for some time now.
As you probably recall, we featured them last year in the article, Kartel Brings A New Energy To Gwinnett’s Coolray Field.
They deliver an immersive, multi-layered level of excitement to any car show they promote. This monthly car show will continue to grow because of their involvement.
Hoshi Motion Worldwide
Car shows like this one attract new vendors like Hoshi Motion. Fortunately, we got a chance to spend a few minutes talking to Rocky, the owner, about what Hoshi Motion brings to import lovers.
“For us, we started importing cars because we’re huge fans of Japanese cars and motorcycles,” Rocky said. “We began importing from Japan in 1996 and have made many friends and business contacts while learning every step of the way.”
“One of our strengths is that we have personally dealt with everyone, from our man on the ground at the auction houses, ocean freight companies, parts suppliers, customs, etc. One of our owners also has a long history working internationally in motorsports racing, performing hundreds of engine builds, ECU tuning, data acquisition, and fabrication.”
“We have owned many of these cars. We know their good points, their bad points, and what type of owner may appreciate one car over another. Selling you a vehicle is only part of what we offer here.”
“Consultation on models, upgrades, maintenance, insurance, and more is something that we will be more than happy to discuss with you. At Hoshi Motion, we aren’t just selling you a car.
We are offering over 25 years of experience encompassing just about anything related to the vehicles we sell.”
Impressive Out Of The Gate
Also making the trek to Woodstock Baptist Church was Christian Brothers Automotive. In talking to Chad Adams, one of their service managers, you could tell they wanted to provide exceptional service when you need it now and in the future.
Their business philosophy since 1982 is to invest in the health of their client’s vehicles and remain their auto service partner for many years to come.
In addition to vendors like Christian Brothers Automotive, food trucks were on-site and even a shuttle to run people back and forth to the restroom. So when it came to setting the mood, DJ Dion was on hand to keep the music energy high.
He even broke out a few dance moves of his own.
For only its second outing, the Ultimate Cars & Faith Car Show at Woodstock Baptist Church has roared out of the gate convincingly. They’ve got all the key ingredients in place to be an up-and-coming force in the Atlanta car show scene.
We can only imagine what Steve Flanagan and his Glass Tiger team have in store for us on warmer days ahead.
