YearOne Shows How To “Back The Blue” In 2021

Poster for "Back the Blue" charity car show by YearOne

There are times you can tell a charity car show is going to be great long before it ever takes place. Just one look at the “Back the Blue” event poster told you all that you needed to know.

First off, it was sponsored by YearOne at their tree-lined facilities at 1001 Cherry Drive in Braselton, Ga. They understand American muscle cars and the people who drive them.

Since 1979, YearOne has been one of this country’s top sources for quality American hot rod parts and accessories.

Secondly, the list of sponsors reads like a “Who’s Who” of the top classic car clubs in the area. These club members have some of the Peach State’s finest examples of classic American styling and automotive performance.

Not only would these club members bring their jaw-dropping cars, but they would also bring their expertise for running a top-shelf quality car show.

The third point that jumped off the car show poster was that it benefited the Police Benevolent Fund of Georgia. This fund supports our State’s law enforcement men and women in several important ways.

Not least of which is helping fallen officers’ families.

Local Clubs Step Up

The sponsoring car clubs certainly stepped up to add their calendar-ready cars to the mix. They also brought with them their valuable knowledge of how to run a well-organized event.

We’re fortunate to have these clubs in the area that are active in the car restoration and hot-rodding scene.

American Street Rodders is a family-oriented organization. The club provides a forum for individuals who enjoy sharing their interest in automobiles, reflecting the Cruisin’ 50’s & 60’s era.

Dixie Cruisers Car Club is a not-for-profit organization with a common interest – the restoration and preservation of classic cars, trucks, tractors, and motorcycles. They use their passion for collectible vehicles to raise funds for a variety of local charities.

Master’s Car Club is a group of men and women with basic Christian values who share a love for helping others and their community. They meet on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 09:00 am for breakfast and fellowship at Sparky’s Machines located at 1209 Nathan Blvd. Loganville, GA 30052 (at the corner of Nathan Blvd. and US Highway 78).

Old Friends Car Club is an active club that sponsors a car show every 2nd Saturday of the month from April through October. Their event is at the United Community Bank located at 351 Jesse Jewell Pkwy SE, Gainesville, GA 30501, from 5 pm to 8 pm.

They also helped put on one of the largest car shows in the area last year at Simpson Farm. Here is our article on the event: Simpson Farm – The Car Show We All Needed

The Best Show Up

What impressed us the most with YearOne’s car event was the quality of the show cars it attracted. It seemed as though there was a meticulously prepared treasure parked one right after another.

YearOne’s well-deserved reputation of providing American muscle car parts and restoration services drew some of the area’s finest cars. Combine all of it, and you’ve got an event that you certainly won’t want to miss in the future.

As we said at the start, sometimes you can look at the car show poster and know it will be something special. “Back the Blue” certainly lived up to our expectations.
