Caffeine & Octane Is Poised To Grab Another Gear

Caffeine & Octane is proving the naysayers wrong with each passing month. Freezing temperatures, rain and the outbreak of a global pandemic have done little to keep car enthusiasts away.

In fact, it seems as though C&O is perfectly poised to hit the gas and grab another gear.

Month in and month out, the parking lots are filled at the Perimeter Mall. When people prophesize that the public will get tired of a monthly car show, all we can do is shake our head.

Routinely we talk to Corvette owners who have driven across three or more states just for the C&O experience. The show regularly attracts over 2000 vehicles and 15,000 fans.

If you’re a fan of fiberglass, you are not alone. Even on rainy days you’ll see 50 or more Vettes in the parking lots. On beautiful summer days, that number can run well north of 150.

MAD Vette In The House

You never know which celebrity in the Corvette community you’re going to meet at Caffeine & Octane. We could tell by the crowd of people gathered around a stunning ZR1 that it had to be someone noteworthy.

It turns out it was none other than Atlanta customizing legend Donnie Herrin, founder of MAD Vettes. The crowd was pressing Donnie for the latest tips and tricks to turn their Corvettes into trophy magnets.

Donnie and MAD Vettes know a thing or two about building show-winning creations. His Shake N Bake was one of the cleanest C6 Corvettes in the country and won a ton of prestigious awards.

SuperVette Saturday

The big buzz at this month’s C&O among Corvette drivers was the SuperVette Saturday event coming up on Saturday, May 1st, 2021. The event will be held at Day’s Chevrolet dealership at 3693 Cobb Pkwy NW, Acworth, GA 30101.

Classic Glass Corvette club in Marietta, Ga, has been putting on this annual event for decades. Often it is one of the largest Corvette-only car shows in the southeast.

We can tell you from our experience that this club knows how to put on a car show. If you need proof, here is our article from last year’s event: SuperVette Saturday – Event Of The Year?

Amazing Corvettes Club

You would be hard-pressed to find a car show in Atlanta that doesn’t have Amazing Corvettes Club members in attendance. March’s C&O event was certainly no exception.

It shows that the Amazing Corvettes Club was formed to enhance and develop friendships with other Corvette owners and enthusiasts.

So popular has this club become that they have opened two additional branches to make it more convenient for members to attend meetings. We hope to bring you more about these branches soon.

An Eye On Spring

You could tell people can’t wait for the warm days of Spring to finally make their way to Atlanta. Even with starting temperatures hovering in the mid-’30s this month, the parking lots were packed.

2021 has the feeling of another strong year for the largest monthly car show in North America. All the intangibles are falling in place for C&O to hit the gas and grab another gear!
