When you own a rolling piece of sculptured artistry like a Corvette, there are two phone numbers you should always have at your fingertips.
The first number is for your master mechanic, and the other is for your detailer.
For most of us, other than perhaps a restorer or custom shop, those are the only people that ever touch our baby.
The dilemma for most of us comes down to finding those two perfect phone numbers. This is where Vettes of Atlanta Magazine makes it easy.
For ceramic coating and wrapping you should talk to Joey Bourassa from Ceramic Elite at 404-915-8795″
For the record, as you know, we don’t take money for our recommendations. There are no banner ads or business advertisements on our website.
We’re Corvette enthusiasts just like you, pure and simple. What we have uncovered here is a gem of a find when it comes to ceramic coating and wrapping.
Our recommendation comes from visiting the shop ourselves, but more importantly, from actually talking to a good number of Vette people who have had work done at Ceramic Elite. The owner, Joey Bourassa’s 25 years of hand-on experience doing collision work and detailing, was a significant factor as well.
As always, with all of our recommendations, you should check it out for yourself. Picking a detail shop is an important decision.
Take the time to go down to Ceramic Elite, talk to Joey, and see the quality of his work with your own two eyes.
Seeing Is Believing
You get the feeling Ceramic Elite is different the moment you step into this clean shop. From the gorgeous lit logo covering one of the back walls to the pro-grade equipment to the bevy of high-end Corvettes in the shop for an Elite touch.
Joey Bourassa is no stranger to this line of work. He started in bodywork and collision repair when he was 16 and has been in this business for over 25 years.
Most recently, Joey was an Elite Corvette collision tech at Rick Hendrick Chevrolet in Buford, Georgia.
His 25 years of bodywork experience speaks for itself as you walk among the Corvettes in for work at his shop. We noticed a 1964 roadster getting prepped, three ZR1s in the process of getting wrapped and ceramic coated, a Z06, and others getting his treatment.
While Corvettes hold a special place in his heart, Joey and his team bring new brilliance to Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghinis, and other ultra-high-end vehicles. You tell a lot about a business like this based on the value of the cars in for treatments and color corrections.
Those affluent owners could go anywhere, but they chose to come to Ceramic Elite for a reason.
Aside from the impressive client base, and the mountain of “before and after” photos, for us at Vettes of Atlanta Magazine, it all comes down to talking to others who have seen the visual transformation on their own cars.
We wanted to hear first hand from actual clients and talk to Joey about his business philosophy and passions.
Exceeding Client Expectations
It didn’t take long for Joey Bourassa to start talking about his favorite part of the business. “We truly love making clients happy,” he said. “It means everything to us when the client sees their vehicle after we’ve finished it and, they are truly impressed.”
“The happiness on their face and their genuine thankfulness for the hard work mean so much to me,” he remarked. Bourassa went on to recount a recent story with a Corvette Cruisers of Atlanta club member that especially tugged hard on his heart.
It all started when CCA members Richard and his wife Lisa brought in her stunning triple black Grand Sport Corvette convertible for some Ceramic Elite love.
Joey recalled how they were discussing the ceramic options when Lisa asked how much additionally it would be to get the silver brake calipers repainted red. Joey said, “When I gave Lisa the price, I noticed the look of disappointment on her face.”
“She knew the red calipers would make a statement on her triple black car. Lisa truly wanted them but decided to wait on having it done. So after they dropped off their Vette for the Gtechniq ceramic coating, I decided to do all four brake calipers as a surprise to her.”
Always Doing It The Right Way
“In everything we do, we do it the right way,” Bourassa said. “We completely disassembled the calipers and removed the rotors, fully cleaned and sanded all rust off the rotors, and blacked them out, so there was no more rusty silver.”
“We then carefully painted the calipers with high temp red ceramic paint, and we didn’t stop there,” he said, “I had a stencil made with the newer C7 font, and I painted the Corvette on all calipers, and then ceramic coated them.”
“You should have seen Lisa’s face when she first saw her Corvette again,” Joey said. “She couldn’t get over that we did it for her. Honestly, her genuine happiness and sincere gratitude made our day.
That’s the reason why we do what we do,” Joey said as a huge smile spread across his face.
Great service, and they went over and above our expectations, especially painting the brake calipers. Great job! Would definitely recommend them”

Word Of Mouth Advertising Is Everything
While over at Ceramic Elite, we had a chance to talk with Bill, who recently had his beautiful Corvette coupe ceramic coated there.
When asked about his experience, Bill said, “Joey Bourassa did the ceramic coating on my 2009 Victory Red Corvette coupe.” I didn’t know what the ceramic coating process involved. I had many questions about what the coating would do for the finish on my Corvette. What the paint correction process was all about and how it was all done.”
Bill went on to say, “Joey took the time to answer all my questions and show me what was involved using vehicles he was working on in his shop.” He even showed me before and after pictures of other cars he had worked on.”
“When he finished the work on my car, I was amazed at the difference and how great it looked. Throughout it, all Joey was professional, highly knowledgeable, and went the extra mile to be sure I was happy with the finished product.”
I have recommended him to several friends and other members of the Corvette Cruisers of Atlanta Corvette Club.”

A Resource Worth Its Weight In Gold
You usually don’t hear about businesses like Ceramic Elite. Typically, once someone experiences this level of detailing, they, unfortunately, keep it to themselves as if they’ve found a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.
We couldn’t do that here. When you take the time to examine the Vettes in his shop carefully, you walk away with a real appreciation of his skill set. We knew we had to share this valuable resource with our Vettes of Atlanta Magazine readers.
As we mentioned at the top of this article, most Corvette owners are always searching for two phone numbers. The first phone number is for a master mechanic they trust, and the other number is for an elite detailer.
Hopefully, we’ve cut your search down to one number. The elite detailer call should be to Joey Bourassa from Ceramic Elite at 404-915-8795.
