“On The Green” Is The Place To Be

It is incredible how quickly the word spreads in Atlanta about a fun new car show. Just four short weeks ago, we attended the inaugural “On The Green” car show in Milton, Ga.

In the days leading up to this October’s event, people were emailing us about the new event they’d heard about in Milton and wondering if we were going. Clearly, they missed our article.

In our article, Crabapple Market Wins Out Of The Gate! we raved about this new monthly car show and for many good reasons. The first “On The Green” event clicked off all the boxes for a fun, family-friendly local car show.

As we punched 12650 Crabapple Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30004 into the GPS, we had two burning questions running through our mind.

Would the enthusiastic crowds come back a second month, and would they still serve those delicious homemade chicken biscuits? The answer to both questions was thankfully a resounding, Yes!

Support For First Responders

Not only does this community car show bring local car enthusiasts together, but they also support Milton’s First Responders through their 50/50 raffle. Already through the first two events, they have raised a hefty sum.

If you want a primo parking spot, it’s best to get there early. Parking is first-come, first-served, and begins at 7 am for show cars.

All makes and models are welcome, including custom cars and trucks, vintage cars, street rods, rat rods, and race cars. There are prizes for First and Second Place, “People’s Choice.”

In my opinion, the best news is Olde Blind Dog Irish Pub provides a breakfast, coffee, Mimosas, and Bloody Marys for purchase. Not sure there is a better way to start your Sunday.

Did I mention their food is homemade daily? Yes, you read it right. You’re getting homemade food from a multi-award winning restaurant at a car show.

The Show Is Growing

One of the growth signs for any local car show is the number of entrants and the quality of the cars attending. Exotic car owners keep their rare treasures locked away at home unless they feel comfortable with the show.

“On the Green” saw a significant increase in rare and exotic cars pulling into the show this month. Their attendance is a meaningful vote of confidence for this event’s continued growth in the foreseeable future.

So with regards to attendance, the September event saw about 2,500 people enjoying the event. For October, the number of people on the green was higher in our estimation.

Best Kept Secret In Atlanta

Right now, the “On The Green” car show in Milton is still a secret in the Atlanta car show community. All of that will rapidly change as more people show up and experience this extraordinary event first hand.

You can’t keep a car show with these amenities a secret for long among the Corvette faithful. Soon everyone will know “On The Green” is the place to be.
